Tampines, Woodlands and Sengkang are the three most popular HDB neighborhoods in Singapore, according to the number of enquiries made on EdgeProp.sg from January to August 2018.
Being a relatively new town built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Tampines is the most popular neighborhood especially among young Singaporeans. It is well connected to the city and Changi Airport via the latest downtown line and it has a wide range of amenities including three shopping malls in addition to Tampines HUB, an integrated community and lifestyle hub where the residents can enjoy sports and recreational activities.

The median prices of HDB flats in Tampines range from $300,000 for a two room flat to a staggering $700,000 for a 5 room flat.
The new BTO in Tampines West to launch in November this year is expected to be oversubscribed.
After Tampines in second and third places are Woodlands and Sengkang respectively. Located in the northern most part of Singapore, Woodlands is popular among Singapore PRs and citizens from Malaysia due to its close proximity to the Causeway.
On the other hand, Sengkang is gaining popularity among young Singaporeans as its flats are relatively new and the town is becoming more established with new amenities include Sengkang Sports Complex which connects to Sengkang Riverside Park and Compass One, a one-stop mall with a public library.
